Former world No1 golfer Greg Norman hospitalised after chainsaw accident

The multiple major winner said he was a ‘lucky man’ after the incident.

NOBODY NEEDS TO be told twice that if used improperly, a chainsaw could do some serious damage to you.

Former two-time Open Championship winning golfer Greg Norman learned that lesson in a painful way, as he badly maimed his hand while using the tool. He put this photo of himself with a heavily strapped hand in a hospital bed on his Instagram account.

The Great White Shark also included this message under the photo: ‘Working with a chainsaw ALWAYS be respectful of the unexpected. I was one lucky man today. Damaged, but not down & out. Still have left hand.’

Norman has since put up another photo of himself with the caption: ‘Thank u all for your concern & good wishes. All well the morning after the accident. Here I am at the scene of the crime  w/my new fashion statement!’

Hopefully Norman has a speedy recovery and can play golf again soon.
