THE GAA AND GPA got together in Croke Park today to announce the launch of gaelicboots.com.
The new online service focuses on the Irish market and offers football boots and sports footwear to GAA members and supporters of all ages.
There were plenty inter-county stars on show to promote the new website – Wexford’s Lee Chin, Mayo’s Cillian O’Connor, Dublin’s Ciaran Kilkenny, Tipperary’s Paraic Maher and Donegal’s Patrick McBrearty.
School children from Holy Cross Boys and Girls School, Belfast were also on hand to advertise the range of football boots on offer.
And as assocation President Liam O’Neill mentioned, the colour of the boots on offer are certainly a new departure for the GAA.
It’s a far cry from the standard black offering of yesteryear.

Good luck to him but I’ll believe it when I see it.
Three weeks is quite a long time. Strange silence from all the medical professionals taking a break from surgery to pontificate on here about how he should have carried on playing.
@PJ Connolly: nothing more than 3 weeks, which is basically 2 weeks, max 2 and a half. That’s absolutely nothing! Muscle injuries are atleast six even for the slightest tears or strains!
@Lad: thanks doc!
Love to see him make it back to play the first game but youd have to worry about they uruguayans rattling him every opportunity they get. Id say they wont risk him
