MEET THE REAL “Team Breezy”.
A host of famous GAA faces flew out to New York today to help rebuild the youth sports facilities in hurricane-hit Breezy Point.
Tipperary hurling star Lar Corbett and former All-Stars Brian McGuigan and Ollie Canning are part of the 18-strong work party, led by GPA chairman Donal Óg Cusack and All-Ireland winning manager Pat Gilroy.
The project follows on from a visit by the GAA/GPA All-Stars to Rockaway Peninsula last November where they witnessed first hand the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy.
The players, engineers and tradesmen will be joined by volunteers from Aer Lingus who are flying the party out to the US.
