Watch: 'Why did you stop winning majors and start opening restaurants?' - GMac gets grilled

Billy the kid didn’t shirk his responsibilities when asked to interview the former US Open champion.

SIGN HIM UP, this kid’s got a future.

Billy, the newest recruit on the European Tour’s media team, has plenty of swagger and is not afraid to ask the hard questions.

Graeme McDowell was the first interviewee taken to task for what we hope is just the start of a regular slot for the youngster.

The interview starts off in a friendly, courteous manner; Billy’s granny has even knitted GMac a cardigan for the occasion. Clever move.

But then Billy gets down to the nitty gritty, asking McDowell the important questions such as, “What’s going on with your accent?” and ”What was behind your decision to stop winning majors and start opening restaurants?”

To be fair to GMac, he showed a steady hand when under pressure with the Buzzwire game. Hopefully the former US Open winner can bring that form to Royal Troon later this week.

Move over David Feherty, there’s a new kid in town.
