Did Glenn Whelan put a pig's head in a team-mate's locker?

The Potters have taken practical jokes to a new level, it seems.

IT LOOKS LIKE the “locker room banter” may have gone a step too far at Stoke.

On Sunday, departing striker Michael Owen found his Mercedes C63 covered in eggs and flour.

This afternoon, Kenwyne Jones entered the dressing room to discover a pig’s head where his training gear would usually be.

Unconfirmed reports on Twitter are suggesting that Ireland international Glenn Whelan is the culprit while others claim that Jones was so incensed by the practical joke that he smashed up the midfielder’s car as revenge.

The club has since released a statement. It reads: “The Club takes seriously reports of an incident at our Training Ground this afternoon.

“A full internal investigation will be carried out and those responsible for any unacceptable behaviour will be dealt with in accordance with the Club’s disciplinary procedures.”

Earlier, Jones’ girlfriend Kissa Abdullah had tweeted:
