IRELAND MANAGER Giovanni Trapattoni insists he is not interested in taking up the vacant job at Blackburn Rovers.
It had been rumoured the Italian’s representatives met with the Venkys group, which owns the Ewood Park club, to discuss a possible deal.
Blackburn are searching for a replacement for Steve Kean who quit the post after a turbulent tenure in charge. But Trap says he’s not the man to take up the challenge.
“I’m not aware of it. It must be agent chit-chat. I’m not interested anyway. I am concentrating on the task in hand,” he said, according to the Press Association.
