Delaney said a ‘small’ number of tickets – though he wouldn’t specify how many – for the showpiece game Europa League final are now available to the public on Ticketmaster.
“Well both sets of clubs get 12,00 tickets each. I met both clubs on Friday and they come to Dublin with great expectation of the final in Dublin,” said Delaney on Morning Ireland earlier.
“Porto are taking their full allocation, Braga have to come back to us in the next 24 hours to tell us what their allocation will be. What it does though is it allows a limited number to be avilible to the Irish public.
“The cheapest ticket is €55. What I would say to the Irish public however is we had a lottery in January and there was 7000 tickets available, there was 21,000 applications and it’s a unique opportunity to see the biggest club game again ever played in this country,” he added.
The FAI will also announce that a new season ticket will be made available for the Aviva Stadium. The adults tickets will start at €179, while under 16s will be priced at just €55.
The ticket allows you access to six Irish internationals and the FAI Ford Cup final. The move comes after attendance problems over the past year.
