LOUTH SIDE GERALDINES celebrated victory in today’s AIB Leinster intermediate football final replay at Parnell Park.
After last week’s draw after extra-time in Drogheda, Geraldines travelled to Dublin and came away with the spoils against Naomh Olaf as they ran out four-point winners.

In the process they became only the second Louth club to win this title after Dundalk Gaels had claimed the spoils in 2003.
Geraldines laid the foundations for their win early on as they went 0-5 to 0-1 ahead after ten minutes. Glen Traynor and captain Jim McEnaney showed up well for them in the scoring stakes and they were 0-8 to 0-3 ahead by the 23rd minute mark.
Naomh Olaf pegged them back with a point before half-time but it was still 0-8 to 0-4 in favour of Geraldines at the interval.
In the second-half Naomh Olaf battled strongly and only trailed by 0-10 to 0-8 with 12 minutes left. They were still only two points adrift – 0-11 to 0-9 – by the 56th minute but Josh Arrowsmith helped seal a 0-13 to 0-9 win for Geraldines.
They now advance to the All-Ireland semi-final stage where they will take on Monaghan side Truagh who won the Ulster crown last weekend.
