KUDOS TO THE Daily Mail who have landed the best story of the Six Nations weekend just gone.

Remember that pitch invader who ran on to the Stade de France pitch to celebrate George North’s winning try? Yeah, that was George North’s dad.

“It was such an important game for the team and I know first hand how hard they have been working to get that  victory,” David North told the Mail. “Before I knew it, I was on the pitch.”

Seriously though, what is that takes hold of rugby-loving dads in France? Although to be fair to Mr North Sr, he showed a bit more restraint than Imanol Harinordoquy’s aul lad. Remember this?
