KILMARNOCK HAVE CONFIRMED their intention to lodge an appeal against the dismissal of midfielder Gary Dicker in Saturday’s defeat to Hearts.
The game was still goalless when Dicker was shown a straight red card in the 68th minute of the Scottish Premiership clash at Rugby Park.
The 32-year-old Dubliner was given his marching orders by referee Willie Collum for a tackle on Callumn Morrison, before league leaders Hearts snatched the game-winning goal with nine minutes of normal time remaining.
Dicker, who played with UCD in the League of Ireland before moving to the UK in 2007, expressed his frustration with the decision on Twitter: "Game's gone if that's a red card. Gutted for the boys after going down to 10 men and working so hard."

A former Republic of Ireland U21 international, Dicker is currently in his third season at Kilmarnock, having previously had spells with several clubs in England including Brighton & Hove Albion.
Games gone if that’s a red card! Gutted for the boys after going down to 10 men and working so hard.
"I've seen it back and I still don't think it's a red card," said Kilmarnock boss Steve Clarke. "I'm sure Gary will get off on appeal. That will help us next week but it doesn't help us this week.
"I think the most disappointing thing is that an experienced official couldn't wait to get the card out of his pocket before he thought about it and assessed the situation. Gary Dicker won the ball twice, it's clear."

Clarke added: "It was a game that was going to finish 0-0. It's changed the game and it's cost us one point. It was a 0-0 game written all over it from the first 10 minutes."
