Cathal Mannion replaces Niall Burke as Galway make 3 changes for Tipp clash

Johnny Coen and Padraig Brehony are the other new faces to the side that lost to Kilkenny.

GALWAY BOSS ANTHONY CUNNINGHAM has resisted the urge to make wholesale changes to his team ahead of Saturday’s hurling qualifier encounter with Tipperary.

Cunningham has made three alterations to the side that lost their Leinster semi final replay against Kilkenny last weekend.

Johnny Coen [wing back], Padraig Brehony [midfield] and Cathal Mannion [corner forward] come in for Paul Killeen, Joseph Cooney and Niall Burke.

Tipperary named their team late last night, with the return of Lar Corbett to the full forward line garnering the most headlines.

Throw-in at Semple Stadium on Saturday is at 7.00pm.
