GARY O’DONNELL WILL make his first start of the season when winless Galway take on Laois on Saturday.

The Tribesmen are rooted to the foot of Division 2 after losing their opening two games and manager Alan Mulholland has made three changes for the game in Portlaoise (7pm).

Finian Hanley’s enforced absence with a leg injury sees a reshuffle in defence and O’Donnell starts at wing-back in place of Sean Denvir.

Fiontan O’Curraoin returns in midfield to partner Tom Flynn while Adrian Varley starts in at corner-forward.

Galway (SF v Laois): Manus Breathnach; Donal O’Neill, Joss Moore, Johnny Duane; Gary O’Donnell, Gareth Bradshaw, Paul Varley; Fiontan O’Curraoin, Tom Flynn; Gary Sice, Sean Armstrong, James Kavanagh; Eoin Concannon, Paul Conroy, Adrian Varley.
