Some seemed to dodge the downpour better than others


Then, some horse racing broke out!

Trainer Mick Winters successfully defended his title in the feature race, the Guinness Galway Hurdle, with Missunited under Robbie Power (left).


Heading off at 7/1, it was clearly a popular choice


However, most bookies were well covered


Roger Loughran guided Golden Wonder to the Perfect Pint Steeplechase


Pat Smullen found success on Yellow Rosebud
