THE GALWAY HURLING BOARD said yesterday that they will not be rushed into naming John McIntyre’s successor as senior manager and revealed that they have not decided on the right candidate yet.
The selection committee were expected to propose their new man at a meeting scheduled for last night, but that was deferred indefinitely after it became clear that they did not have sufficient time to complete the process.
Reports indicate that U21 manager Anthony Cunningham, Portumna boss John Kelly and Micheal Donoghue of Clarinbridge are all under consideration having met with the seven-man selection panel last week.
