Well it seems they are part of a major ad campaign by Samsung, which has signed up a number of the world’s best players.
Galaxy11 claims that earth has been threatened by a band of aliens so Franz Beckenbauer has been sent to recruit the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney for a mission that wouldn’t look out of place in Independence Day.
Whatever you think of the marketing stretegy, this clip is pretty cool.
