VIDEO: The GAA rule changes for 2014 explained

They are set to be introduced into Gaelic football on 1 January.

THE GAA YESTERDAY announced its new set of rules which will be introduced to Gaelic football on 1 January.

2014 will see the following:

  • The introduction of the Black Card for cynical behaviour
  • A change in the number of substitutes
  • The distinction between deliberate fouls and accidental fouls
  • A new definition of the tackle
  • Changes in the advantage rule
  • The permittance of point-scoring with an open hand.
