GAA stars react to the camogie coin toss debacle

Unsurprisingly, nobody has taken to defending the Camogie Association.

WITH NEWS THAT both Clare and Dublin have opted to withdraw from the All-Ireland Senior Camogie championship instead of facing the prospect of a coin toss, the GAA world has reacted with some very strong sentiments.

    i think the rest of the 7 teams should withdraw too to show their behind the dublin and clare teams.

    The other counties involved now have to withdraw. Let common sense prevail.

    If it was a Cork, Wexford or KK team involved there would be major repercussions. Clare & Dub need to be supported here.

    It took no brains to come up with that one, the game of Camogie had come along way over the last decade with all the hard work that was being done at club and county level culminating with some real classic games played out at all inter County levels and the fact that a lot of these games were available to view on the TV it catapulted the the status of Camogie to another level. It would be an absolute disgrace and a total lack of respect to choose one County over another with the toss of a coin after all the hard work and commitment that these player’s and their management have put in to making the game the great spectacle that it is. Time to sack the board me thinks..
