THE NOMINEES FOR the GAA-GPA Opel player of the month awards for July have been revealed with Tipperary, Clare, Donegal, Kilkenny and Galway all represented.
Tipperary forward Michael Quinlivan, Clare midfielder Gary Brennan and Donegal attacker Patrick McBrearty are in the running for the football accolade.
Tipperary’s John McGrath, Kilkenny’s Jonjo Farrell and Galway’s Daithi Burke will battle it out for the hurling award.

Quinlivan was man-of-the-match in Tipperary’s victory over Galway last Sunday, Brennan spearheaded Clare’s march to the quarter-finals while McBrearty’s stunning attacking display saw him hit 0-11 as Donegal saw off Cork last Saturday.
Farrell was integral to Kilkenny’s Leinster final win over Galway, McGrath netted a hat-trick for Tipperary in their Munster final success while Burke was man-of-the-match in their All-Ireland quarter-final victory against Clare.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday 9 August.
