The GAA's provincial gate receipts topped €10 million last year

There was plenty of cash coming through the turnstiles.

PROVINCIAL COMPETITIONS RAKED in over €10 million for the GAA last season, according to figures released this week.

The Leinster Council continues to boast the biggest gate receipts despite a slight drop to €4.15 million.

A bumper year saw Munster’s share increase by €600,000 to €3.4 million while just under €1.6 million came through the turnstiles in Ulster.

Connacht’s receipts topped the €1 million mark, up from €718,000 in 2012.
