GAA Congress 2012: The main motions in pictures

Several significant changes were made in Killenard, Co Laois, on Saturday.

THE GAA CENTRAL Council met in Killenard, Co Laois, on Saturday for its Annual Congress.

New president Liam O’Neill laid out his plans for the upcoming term while of 77 motions up for discussion, over half (42) were passed into the Official Guide.

The most noteworthy changes to be made were in relation to inter-county transfers, the square-ball rule and the introduction of the mandatory wearing of gum shields.
