RICHIE SADLIER’S FAMOUS dog Frank passed away last night.

The former Ireland international introduced his beloved pet to Ireland’s sports fans in recent months as he detailed the dog’s battle with epilepsy and constipation on Off The Ball.

The tale sparked a #prayforFrank hashtag on Twitter and listeners continued to ask for updates on his health. Sadlier’s Sunday Independent colleague Dion Fanning this morning  confirmed the sad news however.

“It’s all too raw right now but we’ll pay fitting tribute when we return to the airwaves,” the OTB5 tweeted this afternoon.
