Frank Lampard: I'm not moving to LA Galaxy

The press decided that the veteran’s Chelsea career was over because he had the cheek to watch a football match.

FRANK LAMPARD HAS rubbished reports that he is set to team up with David Beckham and Robbie Keane at LA Galaxy.

The England midfielder sparked rumours that he is set to move to Los Angeles when he and agent Steve Kutner were pictured watching the team with the suspended Beckham.

However, the 34-year-old was simply attending a game of football, with the press putting two and two together and coming up with 173.

“There’s nothing in that at all. I’m here in Los Angeles on holiday with [fiancee] Christine. We got engaged here last year and we love it over here,”
said Lampard.

“Steve’s over here a lot on music and football business. He organised a box so we could go to see the Galaxy game.

“Becks was suspended for the match, so he came and sat with us and we had a good laugh – that’s all.”

Lampard’s contract with Chelsea runs out next summer but he says he’s eager for the new season to start, having missed the recent European Championships with a thigh strain.

“I’m feeling fit and fresh and I’m raring to go,” he added.

“My thigh strain is completely healed now and maybe missing the Euros was a blessing in disguise for me.

“I had a full summer off and I’m ready to go back to start the hard work for the new season.”
