A moment of acrobatic brilliance from Franck Ribery secures Bayern a key win

Pep Guardiola’s side have moved eight points clear, albeit temporarily.

THE GAME MAY not have been the prettiest but the decisive moment certainly was.

Bayern Munich put the pressure on Borussia Dortmund by extending their lead to eight points temporarily with a 1-0 win at home to Eintracht Frankfurt.

And they had their 32-year-old winger to thank for the three points.

With twenty minutes gone, Mario Goetze burst through the visiting defence and when his strike was parried, Ribery was the quickest to react.

Flinging himself in the air, he smashed a magnificent overhead kick to the net for a what-proved a spectacular game winner.
