FORMER PREMIER LEAGUE footballer Fabrice Muamba will appear on reality TV show Strictly Come Dancing – nine months after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The 24-year-old ex-Bolton Wanderers midfielder collapsed during an FA Cup tie with Tottenham back in March and miraculously survived despite his heart stopping for 78 minutes.
Muamba, who has made an incredible recovery and married his fiancee Shauna last month, was forced to retire from the professional game on health grounds in August.
The BBC has announced however, that he has been given the go-ahead to take part in a Christmas edition of the live dance contest alongside a number of other celebrities.
He will partner Aliona Vilani and retweeted this picture of the pair earlier today.
