Flying visit: Ireland fans offered same-day return trips to Euro 2012

Ryanair have announced their latest special which will get you to Poland and back in under 24 hours.

IRISH FANS WILL have the chance to attend Euro 2012 for one of the country’s three Group C games – and be home for breakfast the following day.

Giovanni Trapattoni’s men have qualified for their first major tournament in 12 years and will take on Croatia, Spain and Italy in the cities of Poznan and Gdansk this summer.

Since the locations of the games were revealed, the cost of flights, accommodation and match tickets has shot up due to the huge demand.

For those looking to take in a game while only having to ask the boss for one day off work however, budget airline Ryanair have announced new same-day specials.

The flights depart from Dublin to Poznan/Gdansk at 8.30am on match-day, then leave for the journey home from Poland 18½ hours later to have you back in Ireland by the next morning.

According to Ryanair, prices begin at €398 and must be bought as a return-journey, but that will no doubt rise once the bookings start to come in.

The deal is the latest on offer after Abbey Travel last week announced their one-day packages, which include flights and match tickets, from €519.
