The Irish athlete achieved a time of 18 minutes and 17 seconds in the process, 12 seconds ahead of England’s Louise Damon in second, while Kenya’s Magdalyne Masai came third.
Meanwhile, another Irish runner, Linda Byrne, came fourth, with a time of 18 minutes 48 seconds.

The result is a further boost for Britton, after she won the Great Edinburgh Cross Country race last week.
