WEXFORD AND GALWAY have claimed six camogie All Stars apiece for 2011.
All-Ireland Champions Wexford see captain Ursula Jacob, Claire O’Connor, Catherine O’Loughlin, Una Leacy, Katrina Parrock and Kate Kelly collect further honours following their success in September.
Team boss JJ Doyle has also been named O’Neill’s Manager of the Year for leading the county’s Senior and Intermediate teams to national glory.
Finalists Galway also have six winner: Therese Maher, Ann Marie Hayes, Lorraine Ryan, goalkeeper Susan Earner, who collects her first All Star, team captain Brenda Hanney as well as midfield star Niamh Kilkenny.
Cork have two All Stars, having been beaten by Wexford en route to the final, with Anna Geary claiming the wing-spot and Jennifer O’Leary recognised for her efforts on behalf of the ladies in red. Tipperary’s Jill Horan is the other inclusion, in midfield.
