FIFA 15, THE latest effort at recreating the beautiful game from EA Sports, hits the shops tomorrow.

The makers of the hugely-popular computer game gave fans of the SSE Airtricity League the chance to vote for their favourite player with the two most popular earning the right to feature alongside Lionel Messi on a special edition League of Ireland cover.

This year, Dundalk midfielder Richie Towell and Shamrock Rovers Barry Murphy were the winning pair.

“Firstly I would really like to thank everyone who took the time and effort to vote for me, it means a lot,” Towell told DundalkFC.com.

It’s great to be selected for something as popular as FIFA and it’s something I’ll be able to show the grandkids in years to come. I am excited about getting a copy of it so I can get cracking and play it.”

Hoops stopper Murphy also tweeted: “Ah yeah, just on the cover of the new FIFA 15… average day really.”

The cover will be available to download at easportsfootball.com from tomorrow.
