Ball boy sparks mass melee in Australian cup final after refusing to hand over the ball

There were shades of Eden Hazard at Swansea a few years back.

SYDNEY FC AND Adelaide United contested Australia’s FFA Cup final this morning, with the game going to extra-time after a 1-1 draw.

Brazilian striker Bobo scored what turned out to be the winner for Sydney on 111 minutes, but there was late drama just moments later.

Adelaide defender Michael Marrone went to retrieve the ball from a ball boy, who refused to hand it over in an attempt to run down the clock.

An agitated Marrone then pushes the youngster to the ground, which sparks a melee on the sideline.

The player was shown a red card when the incident eventually died down.
