There was a lovely moment during yesterday’s match at De Kuip.

FEYENOORD CLAIMED THEIR first win of the Eredivisie season yesterday — defeating Excelsior 3-0 at home with captain Robin van Persie opening the scoring.

The game has made headlines for another reason, however. The home side invited patients from the Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital along on the day, and opposing supporters decided they wanted to do something special.

When the clock struck 19.02 (the founding year of their club), Excelsior fans began showering the kids with hundreds of cuddly toys.

A heartwarming gesture.
