The game has made headlines for another reason, however. The home side invited patients from the Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital along on the day, and opposing supporters decided they wanted to do something special.

When the clock struck 19.02 (the founding year of their club), Excelsior fans began showering the kids with hundreds of cuddly toys.
