But even a seasoned Wally-spotter such as ourselves couldn’t help but chuckle a bit on seeing Alex Ferguson’s wee head lean in from behind the extremely tall David Gill to get one last look at the big-eared trophy.

Look at his eyes light up as the “Typical Germans” lift the biggest prize in European football.

He’s not jealous at all.
