As FC Porto arrived back in Portugal this morning, they were greeted at the airport by a furious mob of supporters who were incensed at the club’s defeat by Chelsea last night – a result which ensured the club were eliminated from the Champions League.
As the coaching staff traipsed through arrivals, they were subjected to lots of finger-pointing and plenty of abuse.

Porto obviously expected it to a degree, with police in place to prevent fans getting too close to anyone. But in what was an incredibly heated scene, some very nearly did.
It continued outside too and as the solemn-looking players mounted their team bus, there was a heavy police presence to try and calm down the very, very angry Porto fans who were intent on making their feelings clear.
