FBD Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland football sevens to have an All-Ulster final

St. Galls and Errigal Ciaran will fight it out for the title.

ULSTER CLUBS HAVE dominated the FBD Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland football 7s in recent years and that trend will continue this year with St Gall’s of Antrim to play Tyrone side, Errigal Ciaran in the final at 6pm.

Galway club Corofin ended a seven-year run of Ulster victors 12 months ago but with the last four decided, it was a case of back to normal.

Both semi-finals were tight affairs.

Arthur McConville slotted coolly for an early goal to give Clonduff (Down) a half-time lead of 1-6 to 1-4 against St Gall’s but the five-time champions fought back in the second period to win by 2-10 to 1-9.

Errigal Ciaran trailed at the break in their penultimate game too, with Bryansford (Down) leading by 1-6 to 0-7 but the team that edged out Corofin in the group stages hit the front in the second half and Ciaran Branigan’s goal cemented the 3-12 to 2-11 win.
