VIDEO: Jamie Heaslip fails to grasp the favourite player concept

IF ANYONE CAUGHT Donnacha Ryan’s man-of-the-match chat to RTÉ back in November, they will be familiar with Ireland’s current rugby love-in.

The lock listed off his seven pack mates as having either brilliant or outstanding games against the Argentineans.

Speaking to the RBS, the Six Nation’s official sponsors, Irish captain Jamie Heaslip continued the all-for-one theme.

Asked to name the best player on his team, Heaslip said, “I think Simon Zebo got nominated in that top 15 ERC players [of the year]. Rory Best as well, Stephen Ferris.

“Again, I could probably name out the whole squad here.”

Heaslip and his five rival captains were asked to name the best player to compete in the Six Nations and, closer to home, the best player from their country. Here are the responses:
