WE’VE ALL DONE it. You’re wandering around the golf course, wondering if today will be the day you break 90 and you come across a stray golf ball.
You look around, it doesn’t seem to belong to anyone so you pick it up and wander off.
That’s fine as long as you’re hacking your way around your local course but it’s probably not advisable during a PGA Tour event when the ball can realistically only belong to a competitor.
Thankfully, Luke Donald wasn’t penalised after the fan saw the error of her ways and returned the ball.
