'I want to stay at Manchester United for many years' - Falcao

The Colombian striker scored his first goal for the club on Sunday.

ON-LOAN STRIKER Radamel Falcao has told Manchester United fans he wants to stay at the club for “many years” to come.

The Colombian broke his duck for his new club yesterday with a close-range strike against Everton, his first goal since moving from Monaco.

The 28-year old’s effort proved to be the winner but United will reportedly have to pay €54.8 million to make his move permanent at the end of this season.

However, if Falcao has his way, he’ll stay in Manchester.

“Me and my family are happy here, and we would like to stay for many years at Manchester United,” Falcao told the club’s in-house television channel, MUTV.

Falcao’s strike, after Angel di Maria’s first-half opener had been cancelled out by Steven Naismith, took United into the top four for the first time this season.

He also posted this picture on his Instagram account of him posing with team-mates inside the United changing room with the words: “Very happy with my first goal and win in Manchester United.”
