AP MCCOY WAS at his best as he earned victory in the Ryanair Gold Cup Novice Chase at Fairyhouse today.
The 40-year-old, who is set to retire at the end of the British season in April, came home first on Enda Bolger-trained Gilgamboa (7/1) with the Tullow Tank (9/1) second, Smashing (25/1) third and favourite Gitane Du Berlais (5/4f) back in fourth.
It was his second win of the day as Sir Scorpion (6/4f) triumphed in the Novice Handicap Hurdle.
