THE DRAW FOR the FA Cup semi-final was made immediately after Arsenal’s tight 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford and it kept the two remaining Premier League powerhouses apart until a possible final meeting.
The two semi-finals will take place at Wembley and will see Bradford/Reading face Arsenal and Blackburn/Liverpool v Aston Villa.
Were Liverpool to advance to the final, it would be Steven Gerrard’s last game for the club before his move to LA Galaxy, as well as his birthday.
But before that they will need to negotiate an FA Cup quarter-final replay against Blackburn at Ewood Park on 7 April.
