Having endured a brief bumpy spell (by their high standards at least) that saw them draw two consecutive games in the league, Barcelona have come back with a vengeance of late.
In recent matches, Gerardo Martino’s side have beaten Levante 9-2 on aggregate in the Copa Del Rey quarter-finals, while also outclassing Malaga 3-0 in the league, thereby showing the type of form that has made them so formidable in recent years.
Valencia, meanwhile, have endured a somewhat disappointing season so far, while Barca’s 100% home record means they are odds-on favourites to triumph in this encounter.
However, neutrals will be hoping for a similarly entertaining game to the reverse fixture, which Barca narrowly won 3-2 thanks to a Lionel Messi hat-trick.

Serie A: Roma v Parma

With Juve currently six points ahead of second place Roma, it feels as if more or less every game now is a must-win for Rudi Garcia’s men.
Having lost to the league leaders recently, they have responded in the best possible fashion, winning all five of their subsequent encounters.
Seventh place Parma are also on somewhat of a hot streak, however. They are unbeaten in 10 matches and could go ahead of Inter in fifth with a victory tomorrow.

Serie A: Juventus v Inter
Sunday 7.45pm
A fixture that is often one of the highlights of the Serie A campaign does not seem quite so special this time around.
Inter have, by most accounts, underachieved this season, and have been particular uninspired of late, acquiring just eight points from their past nine matches — form that has seen them slip completely out of contention for the title.
Nevertheless, they’ll still be eager to push for one of the much sought-after Champions League spots.
And while most people will tip Juve to prevail, the Turin side could only manage a draw against 10th place Lazio last week, so Inter surely won’t feel that gaining a positive result is beyond them.

La Liga: Athletic Bilbao v Real Madrid
Sunday 8pm
Despite only being in third place, currently finding themselves behind both Barca and Atletico by a point, Real Madrid are many people’s favourites to lift the La Liga title.
The overriding theory regarding Carlo Ancelotti’s side is that they have managed to get good results without playing especially well, and that there is more to come from players such as Isco and Gareth Bale once they develop more of a rhythm and understanding with their teammates.
However, Sunday’s game will be a significant test to their title credentials, as they come up against fifth-placed Athletic Bilbao, who have already demonstrated their ability to cause an upset, beating Barca 1-0 in December.
