“The Big Easy” made this two-foot bogey putt look anything but, scooting it a good distance past the hole.
Then, in a moment that can only be put down to frustration and a lack of concentration, Els tried to nonchalantly backhand his ball into the cup… and missed again, leaving him with a triple-bogey seven to start the day.

Els bogeyed the next hole. And the fourth. And the sixth. He’s now five-over par and 11 shots off Rory McIlroy’s clubhouse lead.
