And there will be divided loyalties in the Cleary household as Conor, captain of the Banner County’s U21 hurlers last year, has been called into the starting line-up for the seniors at centre back in the absence of injured David McInerney.
120 miles away, in Newbridge, Conor’s brother Eoin will line out at centre forward for the Clare footballers as they aim to seal promotion to Division 2.
