West Ham's Michail Antonio the only new name as Sam Allardyce names his first England squad

Jack Wilshere and Ross Barkely fail to make the 23-man selection.

WEST HAM WINGER Michail Antonio is the only uncapped player in Sam Allardyce’s first England squad, but Jack Wilshere and Ross Barkley have been omitted.

Antonio only made his Premier League debut last season, with the 26-year-old going on to score 10 league goals for the Hammers in that time, including one today in West Ham’s 3-1 defeat to Manchester City.

Phil Jagielka, Danny Drinkwater and Theo Walcott earn recalls for the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia, after missing out on this summer’s European Championships, while Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw returns following injury.

There were no call-ups for some of Allardyce’s former players however, including Mark Noble and Jermain Defoe.
