El-Hadji Diouf arrested and Anton Ferdinand questioned after nightclub brawl

Doncaster Rovers striker was released on bail earlier.

CONTROVERSIAL FOOTBALLER El-Hadji Diouf has been released on bail today having been arrested following a nightclub brawl which also involved Premier League defender Anton Ferdinand.

The QPR centre half was questioned by police.

The incident has left another 33-year-old man in hospital with injuries to his head and neck following the fight at The Circle Club in Manchester late last night.

Diouf, who was a team-mate of Ferdinand’s at Sunderland, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of violent disorder while five other men were also arrested and all have been bailed until 23 May 23.
