Eh? Sergio Aguero has picked up a 'stupid' injury, according to Roberto Mancini

Your guess is as good as ours, really.

SERGIO AGUERO WILL miss Saturday’s Premier League clash with Sunderland because of a “stupid” injury.

The Manchester striker is likely to be ruled out for up to two weeks, meaning fellow countryman Carlos Tevez could be handed a starting berth for the first time since his return to Eastlands last month.

While manager Roberto Mancini did not reveal the nature of the problem when pressed, he did say it was a “stupid injury” and a “stupid situation.”

Aguero has been a key player for City this campaign as they go in search of the their maiden Premier League title, with the former Atletico Madrid man the club’s top scorer in his first season in English football.

Rivals Manchester United pulled three points clear in the title race last weekend, and with Sir Alex Ferguson’s men not in action until Monday night against Blackburn, victory over Sunderland would see Mancini’s men return to the top of the table for at least 48 hours.
