Cavani set for PSG switch after completing medical

The French champions will pay around €60m for the Uruguayan striker.

EDISON CAVANI IS set to become a Paris Saint-Germain player after completing a medical for the Ligue 1 side.

The Uruguayan, who has become one of the hottest properties in world football during his time at Napoli, has been linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid.

However, the 26-year-old has apparently opted to move to the Parc des Princes in a deal thought to be in the region of €60million.

Cavani is expected to be unveiled as a PSG player on Tuesday, after the club called a press conference for 16:00CET, as the Ligue 1 champions attempt to become a force in the European game.

He will join a side which already boasts the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, former team-mate Ezequiel Lavezzi and Javier Pastore, and is sure to be an integral part of their forward line.

Cavani, who won the Coppa Italia with Napoli in 2012, made 135 appearances for the Stadio San Paolo side, scoring 104 goals.
