Injuries to Vincent Kompany and Edin Dzeko overshadow Man City's win

The club are already without Sergio Aguero for up to six weeks.

DESPITE MANCHESTER CITY getting past Leicester with minimum fuss, the victory was overshadowed by more injuries.

Vincent Kompany was forced off with a hamstring problem in the latter stages while Edin Dzeko picked up a knock in the warm-up and his place in the starting XI was taken by 18 year-old Jose Pozo who made his first league start.

Dzeko was only given his chance to shine only because Sergio Aguero has been ruled out for up to six weeks because of knee ligament damage while Steven Jovetic is nursing a muscle injury.

Kompany pulled up with just fourteen minutes left in today’s clash with the Foxes, having missed the last three matches because of a hamstring problem.

And after today’s game, City boss Manuel Pellegrini confirmed Kompany had injured his hamstring while Dzeko would be out for ‘a few weeks’ because of calf trouble.
