IRISH RIDER Eddie Dunbar hit a big career milestone on Saturday.
The Corkman beat some of the best young cyclists in the world to claim a win at the U23 Tour of Flanders.
The 20-year-old was part of a three man breakaway before powering home alone 50 seconds or so ahead of the rest.

Fantastic news, big future for Eddie
Incredible. Even though we may be guilty of having starry eyed expectations of Eddie at times, there is still nothing he can do that doesnt suprise and excite me. We’ve always known he was special, super-strong and adventurous. But i cant say i ever foresaw him being so hard that he would dominate on the cobbles. What an absolute hero.
@John Mc Glynn: Great victory.Major talent. Just hope he steers clear of all the negative stuff within cycling. Potentially the next Kelly? Maybe unfair comparision, but why not aim high.We need another top Irish guy along with Bennett.
The rest of Ireland have to step up.Cork can’t be winning all the medals on the international stage.
@Padraig: ye just need the hurlers and footballers of Cork to have the same attitude!!
@Fergus McGrath: We,ll give them a break this year and leave it to Cork City fc this year.
Huge congratulations Eddie. We are all so proud of you.
