'Best crowd EVER' - Ed Sheeran dons Ireland jersey for O2 gig

Has anyone ever seen Ed and Paul McShane in the same place?

ED SHEERAN ENDEARED himself to his legions of Irish fans this weekend as he donned an Ireland football jersey at his O2 gigs.

The Halifax songbird slipped on the scared polyester garb midway through his acoustic-led set and refrained from mentioning Fernando Torres or Simon Cox being deployed as a winger.

The ‘A Team’ singer had the crowd eating from his strumming, nigh-on-magical hands for most of the night and this was the Irish cherry on top.

As he reflected on two sell-out nights, Sheeran tweeted, “Hands down one of my favourites ever. Thank you to all 12,000 of you beautiful people.”

Bet his says that to all the crowds. The cad.

The final night, which is also sold out, takes place tonight. Someone call up Paul McShane for a duet in green.

Could have worn a Rugby Jersey at least, seeing as he was at the O2 not the 3.
