FORMULA ONE CHIEF Bernie Ecclestone has indicated today that October’s reinstated Bahrain Grand Prix cannot go now ahead.
The race was to be the season curtain-raiser last March but was postponed due to civil unrest in the country before the FIA last week restored it to the calendar.
“Hopefully we can return in the future, but of course it’s not on,” Ecclestone told Dan Roan. ”The schedule cannot be rescheduled without the agreement of the participants”
All but one of the dozen teams objected to the rescheduling of the race.
