EAMON DUNPHY AND Liam Brady offered contrasting views on Wes Hoolahan, after seeing Ireland drawing 1-1 with Bosnia in the Euro 2016 play-off first-leg in Zenica last night.
Hoolahan’s difficulty in playing two games over a short space of time have been well documented, and the Norwich man was taken off after an hour of Friday’s game.
And while Dunphy insists “it would be wrong” for Wes Hoolahan not to be selected in the second leg at the Aviva, Brady felt the “guile” that Robbie Brady provides could compensate for the 33-year-old’s prospective absence.
The two pundits consequently made a bet over whether Hoolahan would be selected to start against the Bosnians for the second leg on Monday.
